For more than 40 years Control Gaging Inc. has been tackling the constantly evolving measurement needs of world-class machine tool builders and component manufacturers. Building from our expanding reservoir of software features, and taking advantage of the latest hardware, the D500 Gage Controller advances the art of process control. Whether your requirement is multi-feature, automatic-changeover grinder control or complex inspection-with-feedback, the D500 can be configured to meet your needs.

For more than 40years Control Gaging Inc. has been putting its single-finger gage heads on some of the toughest applications that manufacturing plants can offer. In a corner of one plant there is a gage controlling part size by measuring on the wet surface of a spinning grinding wheel. In another location there are two gages mounted on a shoe-centerless grinder, controlling diameter on deep roller tracks in a 30" recision bearing. In yet another, there are five pairs of gages on an in-line gage station with automatic change-over for parts within a 25mm size range.

Control Gaging invented the "quick setup" gage head more than 30 years ago, slashing gage changeover time from 20 minutes to 30 seconds. Some of the gages built then are still holding close tolerances today. That combination of simplicity, accuracy and durability has been the relentless target of our design teams ever since. On that basis we have been recognized, by users and competitors alike, as leaders in the process-control gaging industry.

The Model 401E and 401EX caliper-style swingdown' gages provide automatic grinder control based on real-time workpiece size. Applications range from the simplest, least expensive single diameter grind to more challenging situations where the overhead mount, narrow caliper or multi-diameter range can provide important advantages over table-mounted gage types.
