ACETAL POM (Polyoxymethylene) Film; Brand = Celcon®. Think of Celcon® acetal copolymer if your design requires wear resistance, high flexural fatigue strength, toughness and creep resistance. Celcon acetal copolymer offers high strength and rigidity over a broad temperature range, low wear, toughness and resistance to repeated impact. These products have superior dimensional stability, long-term creep resistance, long-term fatigue resistance and excellent resistance to moisture, chemicals and fuels, even oxygenated fuels and gasohol. Acetal films are used extensively in injection molding and are readily processable by other conventional techniques such as extrusion, compression molding, rotational molding and blow molding. Celcon acetal film is suitable for 2-component hard-soft molding with thermoplastic elastomers, including SEBS, a styrene based elastomer. Due to their versatility, Acetal film products are used in numerous applications such as gears, springs, clips, snap-fits, knobs and gaskets for fuel system components, toys, washing machines, hand tools, shower heads and seat belt buckles. Celcon is also used to produce sheets, rod and slab stock shapes that can be machined to tight tolerance.

Delrin® materials are based on formaldehyde polymerization, are highly crystalline, strong, rigid, and possess good moisture, temperature, and solvent resistance. Because Delrin® absorbs far less moisture than type 6 and type 66 nylons, it is widely used for many mechanical and industrial applications requiring closer tolerances and greater dimensional stability. Kapton® Type FN film is a heat sealable grade that retains the unique balance of properties of Kapton® film over a wide temperature range. This is achieved by coating or laminating Kapton® film with DuPont™ Teflon® FEP fluoropolymer in a composite structure. Kapton® FN can be heat-sealed and provides a moisture barrier while enhancing chemical resistance. Kapton® FN film is recommended for applications that require a heat-bondable film, or moisture and chemical resistance beyond the capabilities of general purpose Kapton® film. Kapton does not melt or burn and has excellent chemical resistance; there are no know organic solvents for the film. Applications include: Tubing, heater circuits, heat-sealable bags, automotive diaphragms and manifolds as well as electrical insulation. Black Anti-Static, Semi-Conductive UHMW Film has a 1% Carbon additive that results in a conductive, anti-static material with all the other characteristics of UHMW. Slippery like PTFE but super abrasion & wear resistant, UHMW sports the highest abrasion resistance of any thermoplastic polymer. UHMW and Black Anti-Static UHMW sheeting offers outstanding impact strength even at very low temperatures, and is an excellent sliding material due to the low coefficient of friction. Additional properties include self-lubrication (non-caking and sticking), sound dampening, good chemical and stress cracking resistance and UHMW can be easily machined. CS Hyde Company is pleased to announce the addition of 3M Vikuiti™ ESR Enhanced Specular Reflector film to our product line. This film is an ultra-high reflectivity, mirror-like, multilayer optical enhancement film that is commonly used as a highly efficient light guide or bulb cavity reflector. It is a non-metallic 100% polymer film with a reflectivity of 98.5% across the visible spectrum. Its thin construction lends itself to incorporation into a wide variety of configurations and applications. This film can be used as a reflector for a brighter, more efficient display, or any application requiring a high performance specular reflection. Its high reflectivity remains relatively constant across the visible spectrum, producing no unwanted color shifts, and thermal stability is good.
