The 3600 Servo Tamp (ST) Printer Applicator is a rugged and versatile high speed, thermal transfer labeler used to print and apply pressure sensitive labels to various products. A Sato, Zebra or Datamax print engine is integrated into an applicator to form a self-contained unit to print variable data. Assembled with right or left hand Sato, Zebra or Datamax printer modules, the unit can be mounted in various positions to apply labels to the tops, sides or bottoms of a multitude of products. Small and large labels up to 7.1″ wide can be accommodated with its built-in bar codes and alpha-numeric fonts and 203, 305 or 600 dpi print resolution. The plc control with user-friendly display interface offers quick access to set-up selection for application operating parameters. This feature can also be accessed by remote input. Various on board IO signals are pre-wired to an external connector; optional features may be added in the field with minimum investment. Label Size Range for Sato is 1.0″ wide x ¼” long minimum to 6.5″ wide x 10″ long maximum, for Zebra is 58″ wide x ½” long minimum to 7.1″ wide x 10″ long maximum, for Datamax is 1″ wide x .25 long minimum to 6.64″ wide by 10″ long maximum. Print Resolution and Speed are 203 dpi, 305 dpi, 600 dpi with print speeds programmable up to 16″sec, dpi dependent. Print capabilities include fonts of various sizes and styles with independent height and width expansion; includes OCR AB. Bar Codes include EAN 813, Code 39, Code 93, UPC AE (with extensions), Code 128, I 2 of 5, Maxicode, Data Matrix, PDF 417, Micro PDF, CODABAR, MSI, and POSTNET. The Graphics feature supports user defined fonts and graphics including custom logos. Labeling speed is dependent upon label size, print speed and application type. Standard machine features heavy duty construction for both Tamp Blow and All Electric Tamp, external valves (Tamp Blow unit only – All Electric Tamp does not require valve bank), operator keypad & display, 12″ O.D. label roll, io connection and communication port connections.

Round products are manually loaded onto the infeed magazine. The indexing starwheel will remove one product at a time from the infeed magazine with each indexing motion. Once products have been captured by the starwheel, they are indexed to the labeling station where a powered roller spins the product as the label is applied. Labeled products will then continue around the starwheel until they fall onto the exit chute where they will fall into collection hopper (collection hopper or box is not included.) The CTM Pail Labeler is a heavy duty labeling system designed for use in industrial production environments where dependable, accurate and trouble free labeling of pails is required. Pail labelers are available with either 360 Series labelers or 3600 Printer Applicators. Fanfold label supply and roll fed label supply configurations are both available. System Operation: A Model 360 (apply only) or Model 3600 PA Series printer applicator is positioned “reels up” alongside the product conveyor and includes an air cylinder operated, tilt-out style, o-ring carrier grid to “wipe on” apply labels by contact. Attached to the labeler is an air cylinder operated, short travel, tilt-out vacuum grid, approx. 15″ in length, which incorporates several variable speed, stepper motor driven o-ring belts to assist and carry the feed of long, soft labels; muffin fans are used for vacuum generation to hold the dry side of the label against the o-rings to impart travel. A firm felt wiper impresser attached at the end of the grid is to contact the surface of the product to press on the label for initial attachment; the label is attached as it is pulled off the grid by the advancing product. The motorized o-rings are moving during label dispense and are stopped when the leading edge of the label reaches under the apex of the felt wiper; a photoelectric label sensor determines the stopping position and is consistent even with varying lengths of labels. Closely spaced, parallel handle guide rails (for handles in vertical position) are mounted to just clear the top of each product to maintain in-line orientation keeping the products from rotating out of position during travel to the hold-down belt stabilizer assembly.

The 360a Series Label Applicator is the most versatile, high performance industrial duty labeler on the market today. The 360a Series Label Applicator has understandably become the benchmark of labelers in its class due to its rugged and versatile design and standard features that are optional on most competitive machines. This labeler is now available in a form fill and seal (FFS) version. The new 360aFFS is designed for most form, fill and seal applications along with those applications that allow for a limited amount of space for the labeler. Application needs change? The 360a Series Label Applicator evolved from the industry standard 360 Series Platform. The 360a can be configured as a merge, blow-on or tamp-blow applicator, 5″, 7.5″ or 10″ widths and each module can also be easily switched to the opposite hand with few or no change parts in a minimum amount of time. All units are stepper motor driven to include State-of-the-art electronics and a “Self-teaching” label sensor. File encryption of the 360a allows for easy “on-site” software revisions and upgrades.

Heavy duty one-piece base construction of welded carbon steel tubing. Vertical upright construction of .250″ wall DOM Steel tubing. Patented internal assembly designed for ease of vertical height adjustment. Traverse construction of Thomson bearings and rails. Traverse assemblies are equipped with a “half nut” feature allowing both “quick positioning” and “fine adjustment.” All carbon steel components are coated with a rust inhibitive primer and finished with “Steel It” polyurethane paint. All aluminum parts are anodized. Stands are supported on 4″ diameter locking casters (leveling pads are optional.)

The CFUD is equipped with low label and end of web alarms with a strobe light indicator as standard features. The dual manual clamping system on the splicing table maximizes the use of labeling material. Coupling the Continuous Feed Dual Unwind unit with either the CTM Series 360a or CTM Series 3600a-PA Printer applicator minimizes downtime associated with label roll changeover. The 3600a-PA Dual Action Tamp (DAT) Printer Applicator is a high speed, thermal transfer labeler used to print and apply pressure sensitive labels that can be programmed for single or two panel labeling applications applied to various cartons, cases or pallets. The single panel can be applied to either the front or the side. Sato, Zebra or Datamax print engine integrated into the applicator to print variable data. Can be mounted in almost any position to apply labels to the leading, side or trailing panels of various products. Mounting can be oriented up or down depending upon label size and position on the product. Short height actuator assembly allows the unit to reach over a conveyor to products which are not at the edge of the conveyor – 4″ tall labels can be located 14″ from the bottom of products. The 3600a-PA Corner Wrap, Printer-Applicator is a rugged, high speed, thermal transferdirect thermal labeler used to print and apply pressure sensitive labels to the leading and side panels of various cartons, cases or pallets. To achieve the corner wrap the labeler swing arm rotates to initially apply a portion of the label to the leading panel and with continued product travel the pad maintains label contact to continue around the corner and on to the sidewall, and at the end of the sidewall portion the swing arm returns the pad to the labeler for the next label. This corner wrap panel labeler uses a Sato, Zebra or Datamax print engine integrated into the applicator to print variable data with bar codes, alpha-numerics and graphics, and can be mounted in almost any position- up, down, reels up or upright depending upon label size and orientation of the label on the product. Normal and fine detail printing is available with a choice of 203, 305, 400 and 609 dpi print resolutions, depending on manufacturer. Right hand and left hand versions are offered for either side of the conveyor handling labels up to 7.1″ wide, up to 6.6″ print width. All 3600a-PA units are equipped with multiple onboard IO signals prewired to external connectors, and the print engines offer Serial, Parallel, Ethernet, USB or wireless data communication. The heavy duty, rack and pinion dual cylinder rotary actuator and custom designed swing arm length allows the unit to reach out to products which are not at the edge of the conveyor. Set-up is easy, repeatable and stable with the micro plc controller with the color touch screen HMI display for operator access to set-up parameters.
