Electralloy has always been a pioneer in Argon Oxygen Decarburization technology. Today, Electralloy is the oldest continuous AOD operations in the world. Our computerized AOD units refine liquid metal provided by our 32-ton electric arc furnace to provide no-doubt-about-it metallurgical predictability and consistency. This repeatable heat-after-heat control, coupled with masterful bottom pouring, gives you cleaner alloys, better surface quality, low residuals and the highest yields attainable. Our ingot sizes range from 13" to 70" and from 1, 900 to 63, 500 lbs.

Remelting AOD refined electrodes via our fully computerized Electroslag Refining (ESR) furnace provides the fully automated, precisely controlled process resulting in a consistently higher quality remelted ingot that out performs standard air melt ingot. Our Electroslag Refined ingots consistently exhibit a fine, uniform, dense grain structure along with reshaped inclusion morphology remelt after remelt. These ingots exceed the demand for superior cleanliness, superior mechanical properties both in the transverse and longitudinal directions, improved hot workability, improved creep and corrosion properties that routinely are imposed by stringent aerospace, nuclear, power generation specifications and specialty alloy and specialty alloy product suppliers.

Electralloy can supply you with AOD refined, 15 lb. pigs with certified analysis or produce an alloy to your specified chemistry. Electralloy can also reclaim your scrap, gates, risers and miss-runs, melt in our arc furnace, refine in our AOD units, and cast 15 lb. pigs with certified analysis to your specified chemistry. Electralloy is a leading producer of large section size round and round cornered square (RCS) billet. Typical size ranges are 4" Round or RCS to 36" Round or RCS in most of the popular grades, including remelted alloys. Billets can be surface conditioned, peeled or polished to your exacting specifications. All billets are Ultrasonic Tested. Mechanical testing is performed to standard society specifications. With Nitronic® weld wire from Electralloy you get the peace of mind of knowing that your weld is as good as, if not better, than the base. So those applications that call for superior corrosion resistance and strength, or, superior wear and anti-galling properties get every bit of performance on every inch of the component. Electralloy is currently stocking 30 pound spools of the following for immediate delivery. Other diameters and alloys can be supplied upon request. When you need high quality forged block in standard or custom sizes, Electralloy can deliver. Ideal for distributors serving aerospace and other critical application segments, Electralloy forged blocks provide remarkably consistent quality and internal cleanliness for reliable performance in the most demanding conditions. Block is currently offered in grades 15‐5 & 17‐4. Other grades upon inquiry.
