Glass-Fused-to-Steel is a unique tank finish. Two materials are fused together to achieve the best properties of both – the strength and flexibility of steel combined with the corrosion resistance of glass. Applied to both interior and exterior surfaces, Glass-Fused-to-Steel is able to provide many years of trouble free service in harsh environments. Superior Tank's chimed steel gasketed tanks are designed to the American Petroleum Institute (API) 12B standard and range in size from 4, 000 to 2, 000, 000 gallons. In addition to petrochemical and oil storage, chimed bolted steel tanks are well suited for storage of potable water, wastewater, water for fire protection and dry bulk materials. When additional capacity is needed, we offer both Permastore's Flat Panel Epoxy Tanks with Sealant and Superior Tank's flat panel bolted steel tanks with gaskets that offer up to 3, 500, 000 gallons capacity without compromising strength or durability. Unlike other flat panel designs on the market, the steel does not thin at the edges, therefore maintaining maximum strength throughout the panel.
