EOM Offshore, LLC

The EM chain is an inelastic riser element that provides robust strength and bend fatigue resistance. Used in highly dynamic locations in a mooring riser such as beneath surface buoys, and near massive mooring elements such as subsurface buoys.

The EOM Anchor Recovery system incorporates a line spool at the mooring's acoustic release, enabling haulback of the anchor. When the release is triggered, a line attached to the anchor pays out from the line spool as the bottom of the mooring is brought to the surface. Synthetic line of sufficient strength and length is loaded on the spool at EOM using a careful process to prevent fouling.

The Mooring Stretch Hose is a stretch compliant and fatigue resistant riser element fabricated from rubber and nylon for compliance and strength. The result of over twenty years of development at WHOI, the technology is patented and EOM Offshore is the exclusive licensed distributor. Universal joints decouple the roll and pitch motions from large elements such as surface buoys, minimizing bend loading on mooring riser elements. They are used directly under surface buoys, for interfaces to subsurface buoys, and between mooring risers and seafloor structures
