The Barrel nut is used in high-tensile applications, securing heavy structural members to the fuselage. These heavy members can consist of but not limited to hanging aircraft engines or attaching wings or tails to the fuselage. They can also be used in attaching the landing gear and wing tips. By using these barrel nuts, you will minimize drilling and eliminate the need for long expensive bolts when attaching these heavy structures. Barrel Nuts are available in advanced aerospace alloys, Floating or fixed (non-floating) nut location in the carriage, metallic or non-metallic materials.
