Highly resistant to corrosion and season cracking, these split bolt connectors provide maximum pressure and assures a secure connection on all combinations of run and tap conductors. Type KS-3 accomodates 3 maximum size conductors.

Northtown zinc anode caps are engineered to fight corrosion. When the caps are threaded onto the bolts or studs, they become sacrificial anodes and protect the flanges, mechanical joints and other metal parts. Our zinc anode caps are precision made of the highest grade metal which meets or exceeds the requirements of ASTM B-418-80, 88 and MIL spec MIL-18001H, J, K. Corrosion of underground mechanical joint fittings may prove to be very costly, both in repair costs to pipelines and the untimely interruption to the vital flow of water, oil or gas. Most failures of pipelines can be directly related to the flange area where the two ends of the pipeline are attached by a studbolt nut joint. Northtown zinc anode caps are designed to sacrifice themselves rather than allowing the underground water, oil or gas pipeline flange area to succumb to the ravages of galvanic corrosion. The application of the threaded zinc cap to the bolt head forms a galvanic cell, thus causing the zinc anode cap to become a sacrificial anode, adding many years of life to the pipeline and in turn saving down time and high repair costs. Northtown zinc caps can provide many years of life to underground pipelines.

The Trenton Keyhole Patch Pad and Tools enable utilities to apply a coating to a pipe surface through a small-diameter hole or keyhole. The components include two tools (attached to extendable poles) and a patch pad with pre-applied coating.

A top plastic sheet formed with an igloo shaped dome and entry tunnel for the lead wire. A special elastomeric compound in the plastic dome, which is firm enough to resist flow at all normally encountered application and operation temperatures, but soft enough to mold itself around and completely cover the irregular welded profile. On either side of the dome is a double row of parallel, flexible serrations to assist with conforming abound small diameter pipe. A base of Royston Tac-Coat, a black unbacked elastomeric tape with exceptional adhesive properties, for bonding firmly to the metal surface, when used with Royston Roybond 747.

Poly-Ply plastic wrapper consists of three 50 gauge, clear, polyvinylidene chloride plastic, high cling membranes, wound together as a single sheet. It provides a mechanical and electrical barrier over graycoat while remaining flexible enough to conform to irregular shaped surfaces. It is inert and will not deteriorate, and is resistant to chemicals and bacteria commonly found in soil.
