Ceramic Fibers are the basis for all Ceramic Fiber Products. They are manufactured by fiberizing alumina-silica materials, much the same way glass fibers are made. These staple fibers are available in various lengths, diameters and chemistries. First created in the 1950s these fibers were found to have exceptional stability at high temperatures, low thermal conductivity, low heat storage and excellent thermal shock resistance besides being sound absorbent and chemical resistant. Ceramic Fibers are not resistant to very harsh chemicals including hydrofluoric acid, phosphoric acid and strong alkalis.

Ceramic fiber blanket is comprised of extra long alumina-silica fibers arranged in a cross locking orientation and needled to produce a blanket with excellent handle-ability. This form of ceramic fiber combines low heat storage and complete resistance to thermal shocking making it an excellent insulation product.

Formed using alumina-silicate fibers and both inorganic and organic binders Ceramic fiber board offers excellent handling strength and material integrity at high temperatures. Low thermal conductivity and heat storage make Ceramic fiber board materials an outstanding insulator that is thermal shock resistant and permits fast thermal cycling without cracking or spalling.

Ceramic fiber papers are created with a non-woven matrix of blended alumina-silicate fibers, binders and additives. Fibers are randomly oriented forming flexible, uniform and lightweight sheets to assist in a variety of insulating needs.

Ceramic Fiber Textiles are alumina-silicate based refractory fiber, with a reinforcement carrier (usually high temperature fiber glass), made into industrial textile products: Cloth, Tape, Twisted Rope, Square and Braid, Yarn etc. This material is lightweight and has very low thermal conductivity. It provides excellent insulation at high temperature. It also resists corrosive chemicals and is commonly used in acid and alkali environments. Ceramic Fiber textiles are a good substitute for asbestos products in many insulation and sealing applications.
