Black Chrome (chromium) Plating is a decorative and durable black finish that can appear bright to dull depending upon surface preparation. Black Chrome Plating is a durable, conductive, corrosion resistant, ultra-violet light resistant finish, A post oil treatment is usually applied.

Reliable Plating Corp. provides Bright Nickel Plating, Semi-bright Nickel Plating or satin Nickel Plating, and Sulfamate Nickel Plating for functional and decorative applications. Nickel Plating is an excellent barrier coating to minimize metal migration. Nickel Plating can be applied to provide "duplex" etended corrosion resistance, and is used as the decorative, corrosion resistant layer under decorative chrome or black chrome. Nickel Plating is RoHS, ELV, and WEEE compliant. Sulfamate nickel is used where improved ductility and solderability are required. Reliable Plating Corp. also can apply a Nickel strike which allows plating of Stainless Steel. Nickel Plating can also be applied as elecroless nickel plating.

lectroless Nickel is a nickel phos alloy deposit plated by chemical reduction, without applying an external electrical current, onto a suitable substrate. Electroless Nickel provides very uniform, hard, lubricious coatings. The deposit uniformity allows plating of various coating thicknesses on any section of a part exposed to fresh plating solution. Grooves, slots, blind holes, threads, and even the inside of tubing can have the same thickness of coating. As a direct result of the deposit uniformity many post-plate finishing steps such as grinding, can be eliminated, thus lowering overall costs. By varying the percentage of phosphorus in the coating, deposits can be produced that exhibit a variety of properties. High phosphorus deposits (> 10% by weight) - yield deposits that are non-magnetic and highly corrosion resistant.
