Tellabs 1000 MSAP Services The Tellabs 1000 supports copper and optical technologies, including Ethernet, SONETSDH, ATM and IMA. The system is extremely scalable and supports from one to more than 2, 000 subscribers. The system also supports traditional POTS and other legacy services, such as ISDN, FAX, DIDDOD, 2-Wire4-Wire, Pay Phone, E&M, TO and EBS along with industry-standard VDSL2 and ADSL2+ (bonded and unbonded) and POTS subscribers. In addition, the Tellabs 1000 provides Ethernet transport and Ethernet services delivery with the Gigabit Ethernet Transceiver and Ethernet Service 10100 (ES 10100) plug-in cards. This means that service providers can offer bonded DSL, wireless traffic backhaul and business premises services delivery across an Ethernet BBDLC without sacrificing carrier-class reliability and redundancy.

When first installing your Optical LAN system, the Tellabs PON Manager enables you to quickly establish users’ roles and privileges. Templates and commissioning wizard help ONT initiation and “plug and play” installation and automation. The Tellabs PON Manager then provides unified control of subtended powered devices (PDs) and their initiation and automation. Services and applications can be provisioned with speed and consistency using the Tellabs PON Manager templates and wizards.

The Tellabs® 1150 MSAP Fiber-to-the-Node (FTTN) supports voice and broadband services to within 5, 000 feet of residential and small business customers’ premises, offering speeds from 20 Mbps to 60 Mbps. Deep FTTN is a more robust variation of the standard FTTN deployment, extending fiber to within 1, 500 feet of customer sites and providing speeds from 60 Mbps to 100 Mbps. Fiber-to-the-Curb (FTTC) offers a faster intermediate fibercopper service appropriate for both greenfield and existing infrastructures. Deployable up to 500 feet from the end customer, FTTC enables speeds from 80 Mbps to 100 Mbps. Fiber-to-the-Premises (FTTP) is an ideal competitive offering for new construction and a viable solution for overbuild applications. Offering super high speeds of up to 1 Gbps, FTTP is “the wave of the future” for all-fiber high-speed service delivery.

The Tellabs 1150 OLT is a high-density 23"-wide distribution shelf. It has 2.56 Tbps shelf backplane capacity and 160 Gbps card slot capacity. It can be equipped with either multiple 1 GbE or multiple 10 GbE network uplinks. It supports up to 64 GPON OLT service ports and up to 2, 048 ONTs in many different flexible configurations. It supports voice delivering both IP PBX, application servers and unified communications systems, and it can support TDM analog voice when bundled with Tellabs 1000® Voice Gateway.

Tellabs Advanced Availability Software Package builds on Passive Optical LAN’s centralized intelligence and management for less human-to-machine in favor of more machine-to-machine actions.
