Compound - Crushproof's rubber compound has been specially formulated to withstand up to 600°F. of tailpipe exhaust temperatures, while maintaining maximum flexibility and durability. Crushproof's Innovative Compounding has kept pace with the emergence of high heat-producing catalytic converters and emission control devices. Crushproof's compound maintains 250% elongation and 1750 lbs. tensile strength. Recently, Crushproof has aggressively sought out several sources for its compound, so as to develope the highest quality of exhaust tubing material at the lowest possible cost. Tubing Configuration - Crushproof's hose is manufactured under several exclusive Patented Manufacturing Process. The hose is spirally-convoluted and non-reinforced. The spiral (helical) convolutions permit: (1) - The use of threaded adapters which can be tightly screwed onto the tubing; and (2) - The mating of one size hose to the next largest or smallest size hose... or even to the same size hose through the use of Flarelock tubing The hose's solid rubber (non-reinforced) construction of its convolutions insures 100% Hose Recovery after the hose has been crushed.

Series RFH hose is a high strength, lightweight thermoplastic rubber coated hose with a .060½ diameter spring steel wire helix for structure and support. It is well suited for use on the hose reels where high temperatures are not a factor. It comes available in 3½, 4½, 5½ and 6½ diameters and in lengths of 18' or 24'. Maximum negative pressure is 6½ W.G. Its temperature range is from -40 degrees F to +275 degrees F with intermittent maximum of 325 degrees F.

This high temperature resistant hose is made of heavy weight silicone impregnated fiberglass fabric, mechanically interlocked to a corrosion resistant metallic spiral-Helix on the outside of the fabric. Because the spiral-Helix is on the outside of the hose, the inner surface is free from obstruction. Fumes do not contact the spiral-Helix: Thus no corrosion by noxious fumes. Will not oval, balloon or collapse at recommended pressures • Adhesive-free construction allows higher temperatures because there is no glue which could melt or burn. • Will not separate or unwind like conventional ducting material.
