Thai Long Grain Parboiled Rice 100% Sortexed Grade A is produced by a process of soaking, pressure steaming and drying prior to milling. This modifiles the starch and permits the retention of much of the natural vitamins and minerals in kernels. The rice is usually slightly yellowish, although the colour largely fades after cooking.
Thai Parboiled rice is also thai white rice which is steamed while it is still in paddy. The paddy is dried in the oven and milled thereafter. As a result, parboiled rice becomes golden gold as it absorbs all the nutrition in rice. Thai Long Grain Parboiled Rice 5% Broken is also sorted, cleaned and well milled with a broken ratio of 5%.
