High quality silage is the foundation of every profitable dairy enterprise. The value of a grain based, high starch forage in the ruminant diet is widely recognized. It is therefore crucial that it is ensiled with minimum dry matter and nutrient loss during harvesting, fermentation and feedout phases. Sil-Safe is an innovative, cost effective product designed to : Promote silage stability Retain nutrient content Maintain palatability and improve dry matter intake Next generation silage additive Sil-Safe is unique combination of Lactobacillus plantaram, Lactic Acid Bacillus, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Enterococcus faecium with complex of sugar releasing enzymes. Specifically aimed for fast and efficient fermentation which keeps dry matter and nutrient losses to a minimum. Increase your profits by feeding silage treated with Sil-Safe Sil-Safe protects silage effectively against heating that results from yeast and mould activity. Sil-Safe destroys unwanted, nutrient-wasting bacteria such as Clostridia and Enterobacteria, providing a clean environment for lactic acid bacteria to achieve a rapid reduction of silage pH, and eliminating the risk of butyric acid production which lowers the nutritional value and palatability of silage. Sil-Safe is flexible and has been comprehensively tested for all different silages (maize, legumes, wholecrop and grass) with dry matter (DM) contents from 15 to 50%, a range of application rates and in different storage systems, including clamps, bags, bales and silos. Storage : Inoculant  should  be  kept  in  cool  dry  areas  away from direct sunlight. Moisture, oxygen and sunlight will  decrease  stability  of  inoculant.  Opened  bags of inoculant should be used as soon as possible.

The production of Mycotoxins depends on a number of parameters such as  oxygen levels, climate, moisture, substrate. Details : The production of a certain mycotoxin is not the exclusive property of one  type of mould. Inversely, one mould can produce a range of mycotoxins. The frequent occurrence of mycotoxins in feed has the  negative consequences on animal performance.
