Woven wholly from jute, sacking bags are heavier in weight and have a coarse texture as the fabric is made generally from the lower grade raw jute. The weaving process is single weft and double warp and available in plain or twill form. Jute sacking bags find primary importance in the agro-based and cement industries for storing bulking commodities ranging from 50-100 kgs.
Some of the commodities packed in sacking bags are rice, sugar, wheat, coffee, cocoa, onion, peanuts, black pepper, potato, cotton, fertilizer, seeds and other bulky materials.
Sacking bags have many advantages over the synthetic bags, e.g. bio-degradable, breathable, reusability among others, and hence there is an increasing demand from. Below is a list of common sacking bags available from us.

Hessian is a plain weave, finer quality fabric made wholly of jute fiber with a single warp and weft interwoven. Hessian bag is available as plain, treated (rot-proof), custom-printed, dyed or bleached variety. This fabric is lighter than sacking cloth due to finer quality. The fabric derives its name “Hessian” from the German state of Hessen.
Hessian bags, also popularly known as burlap in North America and gunny in some countries, are extensively used for packing a wide variety of commodities, e.g. sugar, onion, coffee, cocoa, peanut, food grains, tea, tobacco etc.

Spiral bags-
Spiral bags are used heavily in cotton packing industry. These bags are stitched spirally in form of tubes. The feature that sets it apart from other bags is to stitch the bag spirally rather than traditional parallel or L stitch.
Sand bags-
Sandbags are used frequently as a temporary protection against flooding. These bags have tie-string at the mouth for easy bag closing. Sand and other coarse particles can be packed depending upon the situation. Buyers also have the option to include plastic liner (stitched/unstitched) in the bag.

Geotextile is a natural solution to arresting soil erosion and proves highly effective in improving soil quality. Gaining popularity among civil engineers, geotextile solves many geotechnical problems. Due to bio-degradable feature, this textile is superior compared to synthetic substitutes as it decomposes completely in the soil and improves organic nutrients. Further, the unique mesh construction and water absorbing capacity provides ample setting for plants to grow, which in turn, leads to soil stability.
Recently, the application of geotextile is gaining popularity in the construction and improvement of highway, railway and housing. The fabric has also proved to be successful in arresting soil erosion on the road slopes, hills and river embankment.

Soil saver:
Hydrocarbon free bags are now increasingly used in the agro-based industries. Traditional jute bags contain mineral-oil based batching oil and therefore there is a chance of contamination and odor from the oil. To remove this problem, jute manufacturing process use vegetable batching oil. Thus the bags are protected against any contamination of hydrocarbons as well as devoid of kerosene odor. With the use of vegetable oil, hydrocarbon free bags meet international quality standards of packing agro-based products.

Jute tape/webbing is a strong, narrow, closely woven fabric used prominently in cable industry as binding for the carpets. This product is also used as a seat belt and in upholstery. Recently, jute tape has found its way in nursery where it is used for wrapping plant roots.
Jute tapes are generally available in size ranging from 2” to 3.5” with a weight from 12lbs to 20lbs. However, customer specified size and weight can be ordered. The tapes are also available in alternative colours in single or multiple ply. The designs available are plain, stripe and herringbone. The packing is in roll form.
