Like all great giant corporations, XEED also has interesting start up story. XEED was started by three friends in the year 2009 and the first product was launched in June 2010. The three friends worked with a metering pump company and they came to know each other since then.
Out of the three, two went on to become entrepreneurs on the motivation of their boss at the metering pump company. So boss pushed employees to become their distributors. Does that sound strange? They were equally surprised on the twist and turns of life. So the employees became partners in a new company and they named it “Chennai Marketing Associates”. This company represented & distributed metering pumps and systems in the state of Tamil Nadu & Pondicherry. They have sold more than ten thousand pumps/ systems in Tamil Nadu & Pondicherry. Are they so talented? No! they were blessed with people whom corporates term as “CUSTOMERS”. These customers helped these two young entrepreneurs for the next ten years starting from the year 1999. So neither the product nor the market was new to them when they decided to start manufacturing of dosing pumps/ systems.
So when did the third come in? Well in 2008, the third met the other two friends on a casual chat and opened up his idea to start manufacturing. Why manufacturing – because he specialized in this field for close to 18 years. Thousands and thousands of pumps were manufactured under his strategic & meticulous planning. They are all up and running at different locations across the globe under different conditions successfully.
Ok - what would they manufacture? Silence among friends. Took over a week to come up with an answer. The unanimous decision was metering pumps. Oh no! why on earth metering pumps – because none of them knew anything else. The next few months were spent on planning as they wanted to earnestly, sincerely and honestly manufacture good quality products. Soon this honest attempt grew into a passion. The two friends conveyed their inability to continue with the existing principals and the third one resigned from the well paid job. Why? One could do that side by side until the new entity was able to support itself. A big ‘NO’ was the answer. They called that ethics. They believed in themselves, their capabilities, their “CUSTOMERS” and backed their trust with ethical actions.
This trust that they had on their customers was proved to be true on July 15, 2010, when one of their customers walked in and picked up their 1st pump. Then there was no looking back. Since then they have supplied their products to various industries having varied interests like Automobiles, Petrochemicals, Heat treatment, Chemicals, Power, Paper, Sugar, Cement, Textiles etc.,.
XEED now works with its clients and their feedback are taken up as a source of learning. XEED constantly reinvents itself as a dynamic organization. Oh yes! The organization is full of dynamic people. The facility is spread over an area of 4800 sq.ft with complete assembly & testing facility. Customers seem to enjoy equally and they express their joy with repeat orders. XEED intends to keep this spirit and have planned to add more products in their offering.
