AKIhas introduced a new product to its customers SS braiders. This braiders are specially used with AKI GSB to connect it with valve or connecting side. When pressure is applied, unbraided hose tends to elongate axially; to restrain this, an external layer of SS wire braid is provided. The braid also makes the assembly pressure compatible.

Sometimes two or even three layers of braiding are provided for high pressure applications. The braiding is highly flexible and follows the movement of the hose. The braid is normally manufactured in SS 304 wire. However SS 316 and 321 braids can also be manufactured. We also supply wire braid in different configurations as per customer specifications.

The inside diameter of the hoses must be adequate to keep pressure loss to a minimum and avoid damage to the hose arising as a result of heat generation or excessive turbulence. Hoses outside diameter can be a critical factor when hoses roufing clamps are used or hoses are routed through bulkhead, check individual hose specification table for O.D.'S.Both fluid and ambient temperature must be considered while selecting a replacement assembly. The hoses selected must be capable to withstand minimum and maximum temperature of system. While selecting a hoses for its maximum temperature care should taken that temperature stated is not an intermittent value.Most often only a duplicate of the original hose will have to be made. Make sure all the requirements of the application are fulfilled. While selecting hoses, its application should be considered i. e. Static Moving Flexing.
