ABI houses a state-of-the-art plant to produce Gravity Die Castings. ABI is well equipped to produce both permanent mould and semi-permanent mould castings, and has the ability to produce castings with both horizontal and vertical parting line. The casting facility at ABI consists of seven carousels each containing eight individual machines and 14 individual stations to produce castings of different sizes.

Investment Casting Dies

ABI established an investment casting foundry in 2009 using the Hind Hi-Vac process. In 2011 ABI entered into a technical collaboration with Hitchiner Inc to manufacture turbine wheels. The casting process employed is a Hitchiner proprietary process called CLI-C3. The process combines counter gravity, low pressure and centrifugal force to enable quick and efficient casting
