REVERSE OSMOSIS TECHNOLOGYUtilization of the reversal of the natural Osmosis phenomenon forms the basis of Reverse Osmosis, wherein force is applied to reverse the direction of flow of the water through the semi permeable membrane. This reversed flow produces pure water from brackish as well as seawater feeds.When a semi permeable membrane separates two aqueous solutions of different concentrations, water permeates naturally from the dilute solution to the concentrated solution. This process is called Osmosis.
