The pneumatic edge sensor is used together with pneumatic autoguide system to detect the position of endless fabrics (Felt, wire etc. ) The target position of the fabric is specified by the edge sensor.If deviation from the target position occur, fabric travel is corrected as required with movement of the guide roller by the autoguide system.

  • The pneumatic edge sensors (ACCUSENSE-P) works on rotary piston principle. A Rotary piston opens in the air supply to the respective cylinder chamber proportionally to the position of the sensor paddle at the same time venting passage to the opposite cylinder chamber is opened. At the midway position the value vents are completely closed. In this case air is required for the positioning movements only.
