\r\nHydrated Lime Powder is the process of slaking calcium oxide Quick Lime Powder with water, which is a dry, colourless crystalline powder. Hydrated lime, also called slack lime, builders lime, or pickling lime, is used to make mortars, plasters, cement, paints, hard rubber products, petrochemicals, and leather tanning.
\r\nEnvironmental applications are a more recent development in the use of hydrated lime. In coal-fired power plants, cement mills, glass manufacturers, and incinerators, hydrated lime, a mild alkali, is used to remove acid gases.
\r\nSteel manufacturing is the most common application for hydrated lime powder, where it is used to remove impurities. Other metals are also made with hydrated lime. Soil stabilization for roads, earthen dams, airfields, and building foundations is the most common application of hydrated lime in construction. Acidic soils can benefit from the use of hydrated lime to raise the pH.
