The galvanized steel oily waste safety can has a foot-operated, self-closing lid and a ventilated bottom for disposal of fabric soaked with solvents, thinners, and other flammable liquids. The self-closing lid opens no more than 60 degrees and closes tightly to restrict oxygen flow inside the can, helping to prevent spontaneous combustion of flammable waste. The can's round shape and ventilated, elevated bottom allow air to circulate around the can to disperse heat, and minimize moisture buildup and rust. The foot-operated treadle-style pedal provides hands-free opening, the carrying handle allows the can to be moved easily, and exterior reinforcing ribs protect against dents. The can has a powder paint finish to help prevent rust and wear. It has a reflective warning label with the legend Empty Every Night. Our galvanized steel oily waste safety can meets Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and is certified by FM Global (FM) and Underwriters Laboratories (UL). The manufacturer provides a 10-year warranty against defects in parts or workmanship.
