Since 1981, the 56 Series has been specifically designed to be modular. Theres an extensive range of products constructed of different materials in different colours to resist the effects of chemical attacks in different applications. Additionally the Clipsal 56 Series has been tested to International Protection Rating IP56, and in most cases has exceeded this to be rated IP66 for preventing water or dust ingress. Clipsal mounting enclosures range in size from one to 16-gang for customised assemblies from a simple switch to a large control panel. Clipsal 56 Series also has double padlocking options on switches, and sockets with safety flaps that automatically lock into place when plugs are removed, preventing dust and water from entering the housing.
