MPSec MSG4000 series product adopts the concurrent multi-core processor technology. Meanwhile, MSG4000-X1/G6/G4adopts the high-speed switching bus inside, which improves the security processing performance at the application layer and provides the professional high-performance hardware platform for the network application security.

Meanwhile, the 64-bit real-time security operation system MP SecOS developed by Maipu adopts the multi-processor concurrent structure, which is different from the common multi-processor or NP/ASIC only responsible for forwarding the layer-3 packets. MP SecOS realizes the multi-core concurrent processing from the network layer to the application layer.

Therefore, compared with the other multi-core or NP/ASIC system in the industry, MSG4000 improves the 5-multiple performance with the same hardware configuration, laying the foundation for enabling multiple protecting functions at the same time and breaking through the restriction of the traditional security gateway that the function practicability and performance can not be reconciled.

Private real-time concurrent operation system

MPSec MSG4000 series product adopts the private 64-bit real-time concurrent operation system-MP SecOS. The concurrent processing capability and modular structure is helpful for integrating and expanding more security functions. The complete optimization and security reinforcement for the new-generation multi-core processor improves the processing efficiency, stability and security of the system. The modular and concurrent multi-task processing mechanism provides the great expansible capability for the new network security system of Maipu, including supporting more-core processor and integrating more security functions.

Management view

With the inbuilt network traffic analyzing module of MP SecOS, the user can understand the device using status, bandwidth usage and traffic trend graphically and monitor his own network at any time and anywhere, so as to perform the optimized and refined management for the traffic.

Access view

The role-based management module (RBNS) of MP SecOS makes the network access more refined and intuitive, realizing the more humane management for the connected users and getting rid of the embarrassment that the connected users can only be controlled via the IP address in the past. In this way, you can monitor and manage the user access status and resource distributing in real time, so as to make the distributing of the network resources more reasonable and controllable.

Application view

With inbuilt application identifying module, MP SecOS can identify and control the applications according to the applied actions and features, but not just rely on the port or protocol, even the encrypted data flow. MP SecOS can identify several hundreds of applications, which is increasing with the development of applications everyday, including P2P, IM, games, office software and the applications based on SIP, H.323, and HTTP. The application feature database can be updated via the network service in real time.

Complete VPN solution

MSG4000 multi-core security gateway supports the deployment of various IPSec VPN. It can be compatible with the standard IPSec VPN completely. MSG4000 series product provides the hardware speedup for VPN (including SSL VPN). Combining with the processing capability of the multi-core platform, it can provide high-capacity and high-performance VPN solutions for users.

Maipu security gateway has the special plug-and-play VPN. Just with the simple user name and password, the remote branches can download the network and security configuration from the central side automatically, solving the problem that the traditional IPSec VPN device is hard to configure and use, and the cost for maintaining is high.

MSG4000 multi-core security gateway integrates the third-generation SSL VPN to realize the role access control and plug-and-play features, providing the convenient security remote access services for users.

Content security

The optional UTM software package of MSG4000 provides the intrusion defending, web access control and application traffic shaping functions. The key word filter and web classification database based on more than 20 million domain names can help the administrator set the web pages that are forbidden to access at the work time, improving the work efficiency and controlling the access for the bad webs. The attack database and web database can be downloaded in real time via the network service, ensuring the timely response for the new attack and new web.
