GTS  is specialized in manufacturing a variety of special purpose oil cooled transformers. One of the major products under this category is furnace transformer used in arc furnace duty applications. In case of large furnace transformers instead of radiators oil to water heat exchangers will be provided if specified. This system will help to solve the space problem in steel mills because the designs with heat exchanger occupy less space. The other special purpose transformers manufactured by us are transformers for variable speed drive, transformers for testing application, Transformers for unit grounding and motor starting auto transformers etc. In short our company offers total solution for all kind of transformer requirement.

Fin walls for corrugated wall type distribution transformers are also manufactured and marketed by us. We are equipped with a state of the art Fin wall making machine to meet this requirement. The fin walls can be produced up to a maximum thickness of 1.5 mm. The standard sizes which available are detailed below.  

GTS  manufactures a wide range of oil cooled distribution. The standard range is from 200 KVA to 4000 KVA with the highest primary voltage of 33KV. These are mostly 3 phase type , single phase transformers also offered on specific enquiries. The smaller ratings are generally of pole mounted type and higher ratings are designed for platform mounting. The cooling media is generally mineral oil. Silicone or Midel liquid for cooling is also offered if specified by the customer. The ransformers will generally comply to international standards (IEC 60076) or to any other standards specified by the customer. The technical parameters and tapping ranges etc are designed strictly as per client’s requirement .On specific requirement, instead of off circuit on load type tap changers can be provided in transformers of 1000 KVA and above rating.

GTS has complete facility to manufacture power transformers up to 63 MVA and the maximum voltage class is 132KV. The oil filled Power Transformers will be provided with externally mounted detachable type radiators for cooling. Transformers with other IEC specified cooling systems like cooling by fans ( ONAF) and cooling by forced oil ( ONOF) are also designed and manufactured by  GTS . The Power transformers are generally provided with On load type of tap changers. These OLTC’s will be either on tank 31.5 MVA POWER TRANSFORMER type or in tank type based on customer requirement.  GTS  has also the design capability to design large 33 KV class trailer mounted portable transformer substations complete with primary and secondary side protection and switching devices.

Package substations complete with enclosures confirming to requisite class of protection are designed and manufactured by  GTS . The rating covered in this case is 200 KVA to 2000 KVA. The package substations include a specially designed transformer, Ring main unit(RMU), LV distribution panel and an weather proof enclosure. GTS  has a separate team of experts to build LV panel and assemble the package substation. These package substations are generally custom built, designed and assembled as per customer specification.

GTS  has mastered the field of designing and manufacturing special transformers for oil field application. These include pad mounted transformers as per ANSI standard with two windings per phase providing both star and delta combinations. Multi tap transformers for both 22KV and 11 KV applications are also offered to meet the special requirement.

The dry type transformers generally confirm to IEC 726 specification or to the standard specification of the customer. These transformers are designed with core material of very low specific losses. This helps to maintain the temperature level of the core with in specified value. The windings are generally with conductors of class H/F insulation. For low voltage winding bare copper foils are used and the inter layer insulation is NOMEX paper. The conductors used at the high voltage side will be of NOMEX paper or class H enamel. The active part of the transformers are properly dried in an oven and impregnated under vacuum by using class H/F insulating varnish. The active part is assembled in a suitably designed weather proof enclosure. Standard accessories skid base or wheels, lifting lugs, terminals earth point etc are generally incorporated. Other special features like tap changers, cable boxes, temperature indicators or controllers, anti vibration pads etc are provided if specially included in the order specification.
