By nature, a single piece of glass has little resistance to either heat gain or heat loss because it is a good conductor and poor insulator. By adding a second panel of glass separated by air, the insulating property of glass will be improved. This capacity is achieved by having fully robotic automatic lines from MS LISEC Austria.
The cut to size glass sheets are fed from the loading conveyor into the furnace where it moves back & forth on ceramic rollers until it reaches a top of approximate 620C. Progressing from the furnace, the glass moves into the quench section where it is rapidly cooled by blasting both top and bottom sides with air. Although the physical characteristic of the glass remain unchanged, the additional stresses created within the glass increases its strength by 45 times that of annealed glass. We in TGAC UAE and Qatar factories have 4 tempering lines of sizes 2600 x 4800mm creating a capacity up to 8000m of heat treated glass per day. The machines are from MS UNIGLASS & TAMGLASS Finland.
