  • Return loss The return loss of Tele port and line port against 600 Ohms is 200Hz -3400Hz = 12 dB
  • Insertion Loss The tele-port to Line port insertion loss is < 1 db at 1 KHz for 600 Ohms.
  • Isolation Isolation resistance between tip, ring and between earth = 10 Mega-ohms. Isolation resistance with line port = 10 Mega-ohms.
  • Delay distortion The delay distortion caused by POTS splitter is as follows:From 0.6 -3.2 kHz delay distortion is 200 microseconds.From 0.2 - 4.0kHz delays distortion is 250 microseconds.
  • Longitudinal balance of POTS splitter The balance is greater than 58 dB for frequency between 200 Hz - 1 kHz with a straight line-level decreasing to 53 dB at 3 kHz.
  • Unbalance about earth : 25Hz-50 Hz > 40 db terminated with 600hms.50Hz- 600 Hz > 46 db terminated with 600 Ohms.600Hz-3400Hz > 52db terminated with 600ohms.
  • Connectors PSTN Line The PSTN line is the PIJF cable with 0.5 copper pairs.

  • ADSL-band attenuation The insertion loss of low-pass filter is greater than 65dB at CO POTS and 70dB in remote POTS for frequencies ranging from 25 to 300 KHz with an input level of 10dBm. For frequencies ranging from 300 kHz to 1104 kHz, the attenuation is greater than 55dB f
  • ADSL-band Return Loss The return loss caused by loading the low-pass filter in the band from 25 kHz to 1104 kHz against the reference impedance of 100 ohms is greater than 14dB.
  • Metering Pulse The metering pulse after passing through DSLAM is available at the interface with frequency 16 KHz ± 1%. The distortion is not more than 10% and the level is minimum 500 mV rms ± 10%. The interface will work independent of polarity reversal.
  • Loop Current The maximum loop current drawn from exchange is less than 60 mA.
  • The ringing voltage Generated / detected at the subscriber unit is at least 40 V rms with frequency as 25 +/ - 3Hz. The Ringing voltage is generated by the DSLAM is 75V rms with frequency as 25 + / - 3Hz
  • Signal Power Maximum peak signal power in 200-4000Hz is <3dbm. Loop current is <63mA.
