Traction elevator a relatively new Machine roomless (MRL) solution incorporating the highest technological performance in the lift industry. SILENCE- pro is machine room less lift with permanent magnet gearless synchronous motor. It works without any type of vibration or noise, ensuring an ultimately silent, comfortable and smooth performance. Our lift control is based on microcontroller technology which is an advanced version of micro processor provided with energy efficient drive system. The incorporation of latest software technology has reduced the size of our controller with minimum hardware.
Using MRL elevator saves a significant amount of energy (estimated at 70-80%) as compared to hydraulic elevators. The power feeders for the MRL are also significantly reduced due to the more efficient design and the counter-balancing provided with traction equipment. The MRL elevators reduce the cost and environmental concerns associated with a buried hydraulic cylinder filled with hydraulic oil. MRL elevator being a traction elevator with all its components above ground, this is not a concern for this equipment.
Geared traction machines are driven by AC electric motors. Geared machines use worm gears to control mechanical movement of elevator cars by "rolling" steel hoist ropes over a drive sheave which is attached to a gearbox driven by a high speed motor. These machines are generally the best option for basement or overhead traction use for speeds up to 500 ftmin (2.5 ms).
Gearless traction machines are low speed, high torque electric motors powered by AC. In this case, the drive sheave is directly attached to the end of the motor. Gearless traction elevators can reach speeds of up to 2, 000 ftmin (10 ms), or even higher. A brake is mounted between the motor and drive sheave (or gearbox) to hold the elevator stationary at a floor. This brake is usually an external drum type and is actuated by spring force and held open electrically; a power failure will cause the brake to engage and prevent the elevator from falling.
Machine-room-less elevators include machinery and equipment into the hoistway or closets, doing away the need for a separate machine room.
