A Jessner peel is comprised of three primary ingredients. These ingredients work together to exfoliate the outer layers of skin by breaking up dead skin. Lactic acid 14% assists in the exfoliation of the skin. Lactic acid has a unique ability to bind, retain, evenly distribute and direct moisture into deep layers of skin.

It sustains the moisture balance of epidermis. Salicylic acid 14% aids in penetration. Salicylic acid has a keratolytic, light drying (when sebum is excessive), antiseptic and anti-inflammatory effect. It eases itching and increases epithelization of superficial skin defect.

Resorcinol 14% assists in the treatment of acne.

Indications: Post acne (skin defects after acne), hyper pigmentation especially after pregnancy, acnegenicity, comedones , enlarged pores, increased skin oiliness, first fine lines and wrinkles, seborrhea, freckles, ingrown hairs on face, scars and imperfections on face hyperkeratosis.

Contraindication: Superlative inflammations (furunculosis, impetigo), herpes, allergic reactions to components of the peel , pregnancy and breast-feeding, diabetes , sunburns, fungal dermatitis: ringworm, microsporia , heat , rosacea, large moles and birthmarks on face , oncology diseases, autoimmune diseases (for instance, systemic lupus erythematosus), during chemical and radiation therapy complications, erythema, flaking, puffiness, darkening of skin, hypersensitivity of skin, infectious complications, allergy.

Warning:This peel is not recommended for dark-complexioned (Fitzpatrick 4-6) patients due to possible post inflammatory hyper pigmentation from resorcinol exposure. A pre-peel test before the procedure is compulsory. Jessner peel is also not recommended during spring and summer because of active natural insolation. Jessner’s peel is stored in dark glass containers, thoroughly corked, in a cool place, because resorcinol darkens under the sun and in the air.

A unique gel perfected with naturally soothing calendula, arnica and cucumber. Designed for use after aggressive skin care procedures, including laser treatments, chemical peels and microdermabrasion.
Post pelling gel is applied to reduce the pain and swelling (inflammation). It also detoxifies the skin.
