The Dräger Oxylog 2000 is a transport ventilator designed to provide support to a patient’s failing respiratory system. Because a ventilator provides vital oxygen to the lungs of a patient who is experiencing difficulty breathing on their own, these devices must be designed with several control mechanisms to provide the correct pressures and oxygen levels suitable for a given patient. The Oxylog 2000 features a compact and rugged design for portability and ease of use, as the ventilator is primarily used in emergency situations or during patient transport. It offers several volume-controlled modes such as IPPV/CMV, SIPPV / A/C, CPAP, and SIMV. It also supports both invasive and non-invasive ventilation.
 
The Oxylog 2000 uses standardized disposable tubes, which are compatible with the Oxylog 3000. An LCD screen in conjunction with an analog pressure gauge supply the operator with all the volume, pressure, and frequency information they need.
