When engine get cold due to external atmosphere in cold condition and auto ignition is stop, air heating unit do spray diesel and air mixture into the inlet manifold where glow plug is mounted and having temperature 1050oc. The diesel/air mixture is ignited due to plug and intake manifold get heated, which then transfer heat to engine for further operation.
Used on : T90, T72 tanks engines.
