Virgin & Minor metals is a widely-used term in the metal industry that generally refers to primary metals. They are predominantly extracted as by-products of base metals, so its global production is relatively small in comparison to base metals. Products, which for technical reasons are used as pure metals, can still be valuable raw materials after they completed their period of application.
