The Sea Water Desalination Plant is a high-efficiency water treatment system designed to convert seawater into potable water using reverse osmosis technology. It features a stainless steel high-pressure pump with a flow rate capacity ranging from 5 m³/hr to 1000 m³/hr depending on plant size. The reverse osmosis membranes are spiral-wound polyamide type with a salt rejection rate exceeding 98%. The plant operates at a working pressure of 55 to 70 bar and is equipped with a pre-treatment unit comprising multi-media filters, activated carbon filters, and antiscalant dosing systems. It includes a PLC-based or SCADA-controlled automation system for real-time monitoring and control. The energy recovery device enhances operational efficiency by recovering up to 40–50% of input energy. The plant operates on 3-phase, 380V to 460V, 50/60Hz AC power and is constructed using corrosion-resistant materials like FRP, SS316, and duplex steel.
