Fireproof Coatings For Cables

We offer high quality Fireproof Coatings for Cables in the markets. The electrical cables are insulated with Polyvinyl Chloride, which enables fast spread of fire. During intense fire, the cable with PVC coating gives off toxic fumes combustion and corrosive gases, like Hydrogen Chloride gas and hydrochloric acid. The Indian Standard has recommended a certain code of safety IS 12459 Of 1988, which requires the cables to be compartmentalized by sealing walls floor openings openings under control panels and creating compartments along the cable galleries by using suitable fire resistant compound such as Fireproof Coatings for Cables. The Fireproof Coatings for Cables are a water-based Fire Resistant Compound for coating on electric cables to endure fire and to avoid the spread along horizontal and vertical cable racks under severe fire conditions. Features
  • The Fireproof Coatings for Cables can prevent the spread of fire along horizontal and vertical cable racks for a time period exceeding 3 hours.
  • The Fireproof Coatings for Cables prevents short-circuit in cables and keeps them operational for 20 minutes.
  • The Fireproof Coatings for Cables will not affect the cables load carrying capacity.
  • The coating is mechanically tough.
  • The Fireproof Coatings for Cables are manufactured using non-hygroscopic compound which is water, acid and alkali resistant.
  • Our cable coating is based on the based on the following basic recommendations as per IS: 12459 of 1998.
  • Has flexibility to sustain normal vibration in service.
  • Does not affect the current carrying capacity of cables i.e. does not de-rate cables.
  • Compatible with all types of cables jacketing materials and shall not crack due to bending of cables.
  • Non-toxic, non-irritant has high limiting oxygen index.
  • Touch dry in 12 hrs. (25 oC .60% RH) & fully dry in 48 hrs (25oC 60% H)

            • Recommendations for Use of Firestop
              • General The concept of fire protection of cables is based on the following basic recommendations as per IS 12459 of 1988.
                • Preventing Delaying fire damage to the cables to preserve their functioning and increasing their resistance to fire heat.
                • Preventing Retarding the flame propagation through cables runs.
                • Segregating cable runs into compartments with a view to localizing the fire.
                  • Cable Coating
                    • Cable under Control Panels : Cable to length of app. 1.5 2 mtrs, should be coated with Firestop . This will effectively prevent flame propagation between the panel and the other areas, thus providing protection to the panel from fire Hazards.
                    • Cable affected by coal and deposition : This is highly hazardous area. Entire length of the cable, particularly heavy bunches of the cables should be coated with FIRESTOP. If the coal dust catches fire FIRESTOP will prevent any damage to the cable for a considerable period.
                    • Cable in high temperature areas : It is recommended that the cables near Boilers where the temperature constantly remains above 50 deg; C.and are prone to Flame Licking, should be coated entirely with FIRESTOP.
                    • Cable Joints : The area of approximately 1 Mtr. On both the sides of the joint and the joint itself should be coated with FIRESTOP to prevent the propagation of fire and damage to adjoining cable.
                    • Cable Galleries: Cables should be coated with FIRESTOP on the periphery of the bunch of cables. The compartments should be created by coating app. 1.5 Mt. At a length of app. 10 20 Mrs.
                    • Battery Room Area: Cables coated with FIRESTOP will be protected both from fire and chemical action of the battery fluid.
                    • Cable Crossing : Where cables cross each other in the cable gallery, the area should be protected by applying FIRESTOP at a length exceeding 1.5 Mrs.
                    • Oil Lubricant Spillage: The entire length of cable likely to be affected by fire Lubricant Spillage should be coated with FIRESTOP. The fire affecting the fuel will normally burn out while FIRESTOP will provide protection to the cables for a considerable time.

Fireproof Coatings For Metal

We bring forth high quality Fireproof Coatings for Metal dealers. If fire breaks out in a metal structure, it can lead to melting or several other damages. For this purpose, we offer high quality Fireproof Coatings for Metal. The coatings are basically an intumescent coating, which acts as a normal paint and appears as a slightly rough finished paint. But when the temperature rises above 240 deg centigrade, the intumescent property gets activated and coating gets swelled and the surface inside gets protected from the heat, fire, smoke, radiation, etc. and in the same way chances of expansion, melting, etc. can be prevented.

Fireproof Coatings For Fabric

National Building code part IV, para 11.6.1 defines: For assembly buildings, all fabrics and stage settings made of combustible materials should be treated with flame proofing materials. We are reliable providers of Fireproof Coatings for Fabric, which enables the fabric to become flame resistant. The flame-proofed fabric, when comes in contact with fire will only char, and not spread flame. The Fireproof Coatings for Fabric comes at discounted price. In case of non-durable treatment, the flame proofing treatment has to be repeated after every instance of water wash.
