Richard Walter founded the company in 1919 in Dsseldorf with the name WALTER HARTMETALL GmbH. The headquarters of Walter AG are in Tbingen in the south of Germany. The five competence brands of Walter, Walter Titex, Walter Prototyp, Walter Valenite and Walter Multiply, are united under one company umbrella. With a product range of around 49, 000 catalogue tools for milling, drilling, turning and threading. In the 1950s, the product range was expanded to cover tools for machining wood and plastic. In addition, not only carbide tools, but also tool sharpening machines and edgers with inserted tooth cutters were manufactured.
WALTER TURNING TOOLS
Walter provides a full range of tools for turning, grooving and threading.All tools are available with standard ISO square shanks and boring bars, and with Walter CaptoTM interface C3C8 in acc. with ISO 26623 for maximum flexibility, stability and repeatability on any lathe.
The speciality brands Walter and Walter Prototyp have exactly the right milling cutter for you: from solid carbide mini milling cutters with a diameter of 0.3 mm to cartridge-type face mills with carbide indexable inserts and a diameter of 315 mm.
Types
A new series of coated grades for stainless steel and exotic alloy milling. ACM100 and ACM300 employ New Super ZX Coating and thereby enable milling that is 1.5 times faster and more efficient compared to conventional grades. ACM200 employs Super FF Coating and achieves smooth coating as well as excellent chipping resistance.
