We are offering methyl 12 hsa (methyl 12 hydroxy stearate acid, methyl 12 hydroxy stearate) is formed by direct esterification of the 12hsa with methanol. It is usually sold in the liquid form and is widely used in the continuous grease process. It has a lower melting point than 12hsa and is, therefore, easier to handle in the liquid form. Methyl 12 hsa is high value and low volume derivative of hydrogenated castor oil. Methyl 12 hsa is tertiary level castor oil derivative, which is methyl ester of 12 hydroxy stearic acid (hydrogenated castor oil fatty acid-hcofa). However, commercially it is produced from methyl ratiocinate. Applications of methyl 12 hsa m-12 hsa is used in high quality greases. Its most important use is in lithium based greases because of improved stability during usage under shear and water resistance requirement.m-12 hsa is also used for surface coating.m-12 hsa is used as plasticizer for vinyls.it is used in the pharmaceutical industry for ointment manufacture and in cosmetics.amides made from m-12 hsa are used in various wax formulations. It is good replacement of hard waxes.

When hydrogen is added to Castor Oil in the presence of a nickel catalyst, the resultant oil, called Hydrogenated Castor Oil, is transformed into a hard, brittle wax with a melt point of approximately 85-86 degrees Centigrade. This wax is extremely insoluble and is therefore well suited for products needing resistance to water, oils, petroleum and petroleum derivatives. HCO is available as flakes or powder which melts to a clear transparent liquid. It is a non-toxic, non-hazardous material. Hydrogenated castor oil is used in manufacturing of greases, but it may also be used in a paper coating for food packaging. The product can be available with several different melting points, or in beaded or powdered form. Partially Hydrogenated castor oil is used in cosmetic formulations such as lipsticks and stick deodorants.
