Multi Grade Filter:- B S Enviromulti grade filter is a depth filter that makes use of coarse and fine media mixed together in a fixed proportion. The arrangement produge a filter bed with adequate pore dimensions for penetrations of larger suspended particles. Dispersal of fine media throughout the bed also produces zones throughout the bed, which are conductive to flocculation of smaller particles and their retention. Specific flow rates of of 2-200m3/h have been successfully obtained for treating water containing 25-50ppm suspended solids respectively to produce a filtrate with less than 5ppm.
