The Field Data Transmitters  should include a highly-sensitive circuitary of measuring Flow/level/Pressure sensor output which is in the form of current (here typically it will be 4 to 20 mA) or pulses particularly with flow sensors that can be periodically detected corresponding to a particular water fixture. The system  should also include a set of instructions for relaying water data as and when required by user and should communicate water data after preset period to the server computer that can collect, store, and analyze data. It is also possible to log water data over website for set scan time. Field Data Transmitters should have setting of scanning time from 1 Hr. to 24 Hrs. and should be user friendly. Field Data Transmitter should have back up supply in the form of rechargeable battery to provide water data readings over to website even in power failure. FDT works over GPRS network of suitable strngth.

This is the most modern and versatile concept of automation. The main advantage of this unit is to save manpower for operating pumping machinery. Operation of the pump depends on water levels in sump and overhead tank. Contact Free Sensors are used for water level sensing, which are placed in sump tank and overhead tank. With proper placement of Sensors, unit maintains maximum water volume in the overhead tank; hence repeated operation of pump is avoided. Microcontroller based astronomical timer for streetlights has inputs like Real time, Date, Month, Year, plus and minus offset and with one or two outputs through relay. Inputs can be set through available tactile switches, respective mode LED’s and with help of seven-segment display. Memory of the unit has astronomical timings of the city with date wise yearly Lamp On and Lamp Off timings. Lamp ON and Lamp OFF timings are Astronomical timings of the year with Sunset and Sunrise Timings considering twilight time for the required city, as the date advances output relays gets ON as per the concurrent Lamp On Timing. In case if it is required to change Lamp ON and Lamp OFF timings, it can be done with help of plus and minus offset. Program protection key jack pin is provided to safeguard the SET program. Micro controller’s RTC has battery backup for more than 10 years; hence the set program remains intact even in power failure condition. Enough precautions for line supply surge are taken. Three Output channel relays operate the electrical contactor that ultimately controls the streetlights. Manual override switch is provided for Manual and Auto operation. Due to its versatile concept of switching at astronomical timings ( Sunset and Sunrise Timings considering twilight time throughout year) it gives saving in electrical units, which ultimately results in reduced electric bills and saving in carbon footprint.
