Arabic gum is a product of the two species of acacia trees, acacia senegal and acacia seyal.Sudan is greatest producer of arabic gum, with more than 75% of the senegalese grade supply which is the best quality. The acacia tree is found in dry regions of the country such as darfur and kordofan.
