Our Products
Leading Manufacturer, Supplier & Retailer of Spring Operated Cable Reeling Drum, Motorized Cable Reeling Drum and COUNTER WEIGHT OPERATED CABLE REELING DRUM.
The cable wound on Spring Operated Cable Reeling Drum by charged spring due to unwinding of cable drum. The spring is provided with additional length. Additional available spring turns and extra spool capacity, which assures long lasting trouble free easy adaptability for variation in cable dia at site. The springs are clock type High grade special steel make having stress free joints for smooth and longer life.
The springs are housed in a detachable enclosure suitable for easy replacements and are interchangeable in construction. Depending on the type of requirement for various lengths and dia of cable the required torque which the Reeling Drum have to produce are achieved by putting adequate number of spring in parallel cascade.
The parallel springs also ensures workability of the reel even when one spring fails the other springs maintains the required tension with little loss.
The Reeling Drums are provided with double ball bearing shaft to ensure positive rotation.
Declutching feature allows the drive hub to disengage without damage to the main spring when the reel is reverse wound and engaged when the reel is rotated properly.
Suitable Slipring Assembly is provided with high tolerance for surface finish for ensuring proper contact with two numbers of copper graphite carbon brush per slipring.
The Slipring Assembly is housed in dust and vermin proof enclosure suitable for adverse environment. Spring Drums are chosen for its compactness and flexibility in mounting. The Drums are lightweight as compared to that of other types of Reeling Drums.
Spares necessary for Reeling Drums are Spring Motor kit and one set of Carbon Brushes. A periodical check up / Greasing of the equipment ensure longer life.
Reels are provided with incoming and out going Cable Glands. If required the Reel are provided with Limit Switches for winding and unwinding limits.
During installation of the drums an initial 2 turns spring charge is required for reducing sag by pretension on cable. Cable Guide, feed point accessories are also provided where it is required.
Motorized Cable Reeling Drums are having various type of constructional variety. Considering the following parameters type of drums are generally proposed.
MONOSPIRAL DRUM
Where able is wound concentrically in a compartment to from the turns vertically stacked in one row. These Drums are used for all lengths and types of cable. The cable size is most economic in this system.
BARREL DRUM
Where cable is wound on a barrel in single or multi layer and spread evenly throughout the length of the barrel with the help of a layering device. These drums are used for medium and long cable length of various diameters. Very long cable can be accommodated.
SEMIPARALLEL DRUM
Where able is wound in 2 or 3 rows and in multi layers to economies on space. Medium dia and length cable are used in these drums.
RANDOM DRUM
The most compact from of Cable Reeling Drum. Cable is wound at random for rows and layers. These are used for space restriction.
The most dependable Reeling Drums are Counter Weight Operated Cable Reels. The winding force or tension of the drum is produced by a set of weight, which are lifted during unwinding of cable. These units are longest life equipments because of its simplicity in construction, which requires a little more space, compared to other types of reels. The counter Weight is suspended by means of rope, which is wound on a rope drum, attached to the main shaft of Cable Reeling Drums. As the drum is rotated in pay off direction of cable, the rope of the Counter Weight winds and lifts the set of required weights accordingly. The rope drum is made conical to take care of the varying tension requirement of spool at different radial diameter from bottom layer to top layer of the cable at different travel distance.
The Ropes are passed over set of pulleys properly turbinated and the main drum is supported by antifriction bearings for smooth operation.
The Counter Weight is provided with Guide Bars for restricting Oscillation while mounted on mobile machines.
The Reeling Drum is provided with sliprings machined at high tolerance for proper contact of copper Graphite Carbon brushes for smooth collection of power.
Incoming and outgoing Cable Glands are provided for termination of flexible and armored cables. The Reeling Drum is provided with an electrical brake wi6th mechanical hand release arrangement for provision of changing plug points for suitability of the drum in the event of a long travel distance with small length of cable on the drum.
Suitable plug sockets for changeable feed point are also provided for such application on request.
The counter Weight Drums are best suitable for location where required space can be found available even by placing the Counter Weight at a distance from the Reeling Drum.
These Drums require least maintenance and are trouble free in operation for decades which can be achieved by timely lubricating the rotating parts and the rope.
Adjustability to varying cable dimension can also be achieved by
