ALUMINIUM CAN SCRAP (TALC)
Shall consist of old aluminium food and beverage cans.
Must be free of other scrap metals, foil, plastic, paper, glass and other non-metallic.
EXAMPLE: food cans, beverage cans
KNOWN AS: Al Cans / UBC
MIXED ALUMINIUM CASTINGS (TENSE)
All clean aluminium castings (auto and airplane castings).
Must be free of iron, brass, dirt, oil, grease and other non-metallic items.
EXAMPLE: engine applications in cars, trucks, airplanes
KNOWN AS: Al Cast
ALUMINIUM EXTRUSIONS (TOTO)
Shall consist of new production and used aluminium extrusions.
Must be free of zinc corners, iron attachments, felt, plastic, paper, cardboard, thermo break
and other contaminants.
EXAMPLE: window frames, door frames, wall sidings
KNOWN AS: Al Ex
ALUMINIUM FOIL (TESLA)
Shall consist of household aluminium foil.
May contain max 5% organic residue.
Must be free from iron, paper, plastic and other non-metallic components.
EXAMPLE: foil wrappings, food trays
KNOWN AS: Al Foil
ALUMINIUM LITHOGRAPHIC SHEETS (TABLET)
This is clean alloy.
Must be free of paper, plastic, excessive ink and other contaminants
EXAMPLE: Printer sheets
KNOWN AS: Al Litho
ALUMINIUM AUTO OR TRUCK WHEELS (TROMA)
Shall consist of clean, single piece, un-plated aluminium wheels.
Must be free of all inserts, steel, wheel weights, valve stems, tires, grease, oil and other
non-metallic items.
EXAMPLE: rims of cars / trucks
KNOWN AS: Al Mag Rims
MIXED OLD ALLOY SHEET ALUMINIUM (TAINT / TABOR)
Shall consist of clean mixed old aluminium sheet of two or more alloys.
Must be free of castings, food or beverage cans, bottle caps, plastic, dirt and other
non-metallic items.
EXAMPLE: baseball bats, cookware siding, deodorant bottles
KNOWN AS: Al OR
ALUMINIUM PISTONS (TARRY A)
Shall consist of clean aluminium pistons.
Must be free from struts, bushings, shafts, iron rings and non-metallic items.
Oil and grease not exceeding 2%
EXAMPLE: transportation pistons (cars, trucks, busses, aircraft, ships, trains)
KNOWN AS: Al Piston
ALUMINIUM RADIATORS (TALLY)
Shall consist of clean aluminium radiators and/or condensers.
Must be free of all other types of radiators.
Iron, plastic and foam not exceeding 1%
EXAMPLE: Automobile radiators
KNOWN AS: Al Rad
ALUMINIUM WIRE AND CABLE (TALON / TASTE)
TALON: Shall consist of new, clean, unalloyed aluminium wire and cable.
TASTE: Shall consist of old, unalloyed aluminium wire and cable.
Must be free from hair wire, wire screen, iron, insulation and other non-metallic items.
EXAMPLE: Electrical transmission lines
KNOWN AS: Al Wire
Shall consist of clean, un-tinned, uncoated, unalloyed copper wire not smaller than 16 gauge (1.3mm)
Must be free of burnt wire
EXAMPLE: Copper wire
KNOWN AS: Copper Shiny Bright / Millberry / Berry
Shall consist of bare, uncoated, unalloyed copper wire not smaller than 16 gauge (1.3mm)
No green wire is allowed

Shall consist of clean, unalloyed and uncoated copper solids
Must be free of burnt or brittle wire
EXAMPLE: Clean copper pipe, tubing, copper clippings, punching, bus bars

Stainless steel that may contain iron pieces but that is still largely non-magnetic.

KNOWN AS: SS mag / SS 3CR 12
Shall consist of clean 18/8 type stainless steel turnings.
Must be free of non-ferrous metals, non-metallic, excessive oils, iron and other contaminants.
KNOWN AS: SS Shavings
Shall consist of red brass scrap, valves, machinery bearings, miscellaneous castings made of copper, tin, zinc and / or lead
It is used to produce pipes, valves and plumbing fixtures.
It is resistant to corrosion.
EXAMPLE: Steam and hydraulic castings, valves, gears, statues
KNOWN AS: Gun Metal Solids
Shall consist of turnings from red brass composition material
KNOWN AS: Gun metal shavings
Shall consist of yellow brass solids, brass castings, rolled brass, rod brass, tubing, plated brass, miscellaneous yellow brasses.
Yellow brass is 67% Copper and 33% Zinc.
The color of the brass goes from dark reddish brown to light silvery yellow, depending on the amount of zinc mix.
EXAMPLE: Locks, doorknobs, plumbing fittings, valves, gears, bearings.
KNOWN AS: Heavy Brass / Brass
Shall consist strictly of turnings from yellow brass rod turnings
KNOWN AS: Brass Shavings
Shall consist of hard brass pipe and solids.
Must be free of plated, painted, iron, non-metallic, solder and pipes with cast brass connectors.
EXAMPLE: Crown wheels, machinery gears or brass, brass pipe
KNOWN AS: Crown Wheels / Brass Heavy
Shall consist of clean dry scrap zinc like sheets, jar lids, clean unalloyed castings and anti-corrosion plates.
No borings and turnings included.
Must not be excessively corroded or oxidized.
EXAMPLE: Sheets, jar lids, castings, plates
KNOWN AS: Zinc
Shall consist of miscellaneous old zinc base die castings, with or without iron and other foreign attachments.
Must be free of borings, turnings, dross pieces, chunks, melted pieces and skimming.
EXAMPLE: Ornaments, die cast cars, toys, attachments, pipes
KNOWN AS: Zinc
