A flexographic print is created by fostering a better symmetrical master of the required image in a rubber or polymer material as a 3D relief. The ink is then transferred to the anilox roll (or metre roll), whose texture holds a specific amount of ink because it is coated with hundreds of tiny wells or cups, allowing it to metre ink to the printing surface in a constant thickness evenly and rapidly.
