Soil Fertility indicates the strength or the ability of the soils to provide nutrients to the plants. Most of the plant nutrition comes from the organic content. A small but vital portion of the nutrition is provided by - the trace elements or micronutrients. Organic content of the soils is developed and maintained by the friendly bacteria present in the soils. These bacteria digest the agricultural or other organic wastes. The degradation products of the organic wastes improve fertility of the soils.

Since historic or prehistoric times crops and plants have grown naturally in the fertile soils. Growth and quality of the crops depend on the fertility of soils. Organic content of the soils contribute to the soil fertility. Population burst and profit orientated approaches to farming, lead to intense farming across the globe. For rapid and higher yields chemical fertilizers are commercially being used since 19th century, deteriorating the soil quality. The quantity of chemical fertilizer added to the fields is increased every year to maintain the same quantity of yield. Because of increase in the addition of chemical fertilizer to the soil, the soil has lost its fertility in many locations across the globe.

Curcumin is a water soluble orange-yellow colored powder. Curcumin is one of three curcuminoids of turmeric. The other two curcuminoids are demethoxycurcumin and bisdemethoxycurcumin.Curcumin has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiviral and antifungal actions. Studies have shown that curcumin is not toxic to humans. Curcumin exerts anti-inflammatory activity by inhibition of a number of different molecules that play an important role in inflammation. Turmeric is effective in reducing post-surgical inflammation. Turmeric helps to prevent atherosclerosis by reducing the formation of bloods clumps.

Ursolic acid has medicinal action, both topically and internally. Ursolic acid is used in many cosmetic preparations for its anti-inflammatory, antitumor and antimicrobial properties. Tests have shown that Ursolic acid inhibits the growth of Candida albicans. It has been found to be a trypanocidal agent. It killed all the epimastigotes of T. cruzi and Microsporium lenosum. Topical application of Ursolic acid inhibited TPA-induced initiation and promotion of tumor growth.

Andrographolide Carthamus Yellow Ellagic Acid Curcumin Ursolic acid Andrographolide SUPPLIERS IN MUMBAI, INDIA Andrographolide is a labdane diterpenoid that is the main bioactive component of the medicinal plant Andrographis paniculata. Andrographolide is an extremely bitter substance extracted from the stem and leaves of the andrographis paniculata. When in bloom, Andrographis exhibits small white flowers. The plant is grown for medicinal purposes in China and India. Andrographolide has been shown to be effective against certain cancers and is an effective purgative.   Andrographolide is a diterpenoid lactone. Two forms of lactones rings are present, two are present in the methylene dioxy group, while the fifth is present as an alcoholic group of tertiary character.   It is used in Ayurvedic formulations for its laxative, antipyretic, antiperiodic, anti-inflammatory , expectorant, anthelmintic, digestive and stomachic properties. It is also used for general debility, dyspepsia, ulcers and dysentery amongst adults. The hepato-protective action of andrographis paniculata has also been suggested to be due to the presence of andrographolide and this has been confirmed by many scientific studies.
