Sodium Starch Glycolate (SSG) is derived from potato. It is also known as Carboxymethyl Ether Sodium Salt. It is used as a pharmaceutical grade dissolution excipient for tablets and capsules. Sodium Starch Glycolate absorbs water rapidly, resulting in swelling which leads to rapid disintegration of tablets and granules. It is used as a disintegrant, a suspending agent and as a gelling agent.

Texosize is a modified slurry-based corn starch for sizing of textile warp yarn, designed to meet requirements of high-speed sophisticated weaving. This product offers uniform viscosity, high adhesiveness and adequate penetration to fiber. Texosize provides excellent film formation and enhance weaving efficiency. This product prevents the warp yarn breakage due to abrasion of the neighboring yarns. Texosize is an ideal slurry based modified starch for sizing application of cotton, cotton blended fiber polyester fiber and denim application. This product is suitable for both coarser and finer count. Texosize can be used with Binder 3-6 % and softener 2-4 % depending on end use.

Drilling starch (DS) is a modified starch based filtration control agent meeting API specification 13A. It used to reduce mud filtrate in most water based fluid systems. Drilling starch (DS) is functional in fresh water as well as saturated salt environment and causes minimal increase in fluid viscosity. DS is non-damaging and can be used in both Drilling Fluid and reservoir Drill-in Fluid applications. Application of Drilling starch (DS) helps Lower filtration rate in most water based drilling fluid systems, Improve bore-hole stability, Flocculate dispersed drill cuttings in clear water drilling.

Maltodextrin is a source of energy and is easily digestible as it is quickly absorbed in the small intestine. It is easily soluble which ensures lump-free end product. It also helps in hydration. Owing to these properties, maltodextrin is extensively used in making of nutritional drinks.
Maltodextrin has low reducing sugars present, and hence it produces very little Maillard reaction browning. Ice crystal formation is inhibited and it prevents grainy textures over time in frozen products. Its bland flavor makes it adaptable to most food processing requirements.

Starch can be used in both granulation formulation techniques. In dry granulation techniques where active ingredient is hygroscopic and is difficult to dry after wet binding, maize starch has proved to be an efficient dry binder. Since starch is partial cold water soluble, starch functions exceptionally well in tablet manufactured by wet granulation applications and performs dual functions of both a disintegrant and a binder. In capsule filling processes, starch functions as an effective binder improving the uniformity of the capsule fill as well as forming a stable capsule plug.
