Ultra Filtration units contain capillary tubes that are assembled in membrane housing to filter out suspended solids, bacteria, virus and proteins, based on their size and atomic weight. Ultra filtration membranes commonly applied in water treatment are of two type 1)in to out 2) out to in. Both the units have their own advantages and disadvantages. But the working of the membranes is on common principle of sieving of particles in water. Ultra Filtration membranes are made of different material like PES, PVDF, etc.
