  Spheroidal Graphite (Nodular) Cast Iron or Ductile Rolls are available in a wide range of hardness & composition for a variety of application. The matrix structure varies from Ferrito-Pearlitic, Pearlitic to Bainitic & Martensitic together with different carbide contents and graphite in the form of spheroids/nodules. T hese Rolls are essentially an Indefinite Chill type material, but with the Graphite in Nodular form instead offlake and having alloyed with higher % of Nickel & Molybdenum along with Carbon.. Some critical grades are heat treated for higher strength . These rolls are very much suitable for the rolling of row products with wide range of applications due to its hardness penetration, good wear resistance and tough necks, this material has become a benchmark.     Applications - Application: Roughing and intermediate rolls for slabbing and blooming mills. Roughing, intermediate and finishing for rail and structural mils. Finishing for wire rod and narrow strip mils.

definite chilled iron rolls have a high-hardness layer of white cast iron at the surface. These rolls have the advantage of selecting the harder best performing material on the working surface, which is primarily a cr-ni-mo alloyed chill cast iron & a relatively softer material inside. white chill iron is less soft, strong and incapable of withstanding high dynamic stresses but owing to its greater hardness , has enough strength and better wear resistance against thermal shock occurring at the time of accident in the rolling operation compared to other chilled rolls. these rolls have high compressive strength.it retains a fair proportion of its strength at elevated temperature, for example, in hot rolling . chilled to graphite being smoother, the hardness associated with the definite chilled structure allows deeper grooving. a very fine surface finish is required , rolls for hoop and skelp mills must be chosen with special attention to strength and hardness so the rolls will match the roughing , intermediate and finishing stands. the rolls are double poured duplex rolls and are manufactured by the advance centrifugal process. these make excellent work rolls for two, three and four-high mills, turning out of high grade ferrous and non-ferrous sheet and strip or section. high alloy clear chill rolls have proved well suited for the finishing stand of rod and light section mills, for continuous small and medium hot strip mills, and for strip mills of older design. these rolls are manufactured for section mills producing rounds, squares, flats, hexagon, gate channel as well as mills producing tor steel and tmt bars.

  adamite is a matex`rial , mechanical , chemical properties and carbon content of which stands between steel and iron along with its alloy elements such as ni, cr, mo etc. adamite rolls are alloy steel rolls (a kind of high carbon steel) having hardness ranging from 40 degrees shore c to 55 degrees shore c with carbon percentage ranging from 1.35% to 2%. adequate heat treatment is very much necessary to achieve requisite wear resistance along with strength and toughness the roll contains carbides, and therefore the wear resistance is obviously improved comparing with hypo-eutectoid and eutectoid steel an outstanding feature of adamite rolls in that the inner hardness is about the same as that of the surface. Adamite steel rolls are classified as ordinary to obtain excellent comprehensive properties modification is conducted with special rare-earth or other powerful agent, then through a multi-stages heat-treatment process, that consists of briquette carbides dispersed in the matrix of palletized pearlites can be gained, which perform well on strength, toughness and hot crack resistance.   these rolls are used in pre-finishing to polishing stands in structure mills where wear resistance is very important along with considerable amount of strength and toughness.
