What Paracetamol Suspension is and What It is Used For ?Junior Parapaed 120 mg/5 ml Oral Suspension (“Paracetamol Suspension”) contains paracetamol to relieve pain and reduce hightemperatures. Paracetamol Suspension can be used in babies and children for the treatment of pain and feverishness associated withteething, toothache, headache, colds and flu. It can also be used in babies who develop fever after vaccination.

Possible Side Effects

• Like all medicines, Paracetamol Suspension can cause side effects although not everybody gets them.
• Tell your doctor as soon as possible if you notice any of these:
• allergic reactions including swelling of face, tongue or throat, difficulty swallowing, unexplained wheezing, shortness of breath
• which may be accompanied by skin rash or hives.
• becoming unusually tired, unexpected bruising or bleeding and getting more infections (such as colds) than usual.
• These are rare effects in people taking paracetamol. Very rare cases of serious skin reactions have been reported.
• If your child shows any of these signs, stop giving paracetamol and talk to a doctor.

Uses of Paracetamol 125 MG Syrup

• Fever :Paracetamol 125 MG Syrup is used to provide temporary relief from fever without treating the underlying cause.
• Headache : Paracetamol 125 MG Syrup is used to relieve acute headaches including a migraine.
• Muscle Pain :Paracetamol 125 MG Syrup is used to relieve mild to moderate pain in the muscles.
• Post Immunization Pyrexia Paracetamol 125 MG Syrup is used in the treatment of pain and fever that sets in after a vaccine has been taken.

Missed Dose : Since paracetamol is administered as an when required, the likelihood of missing a dose is very low. Overdose : Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of an overdose.

Precautions : Antacids are typically safe for most people. Children don’t typically develop symptoms of excess stomach acid, so their symptoms could be related to another condition.

Side effectsSide effects from antacids are rare. However, they can happen, even when you use them according to directions. Antacids can cause constipation. In some cases, they can have a laxative effect instead. Some people have had allergic reactions. Antacids might also increase the risk of developing sensitivities to certain foods.

Side effects from misuseMany of the side effects of antacids come from not taking them as directed.Many antacids, such as such as Maalox, Mylanta, Rolaids and Tums, contain calcium. If you take too much or take them for longer than directed, you could get an overdose of calcium. Too much calcium can cause:

UsesThis medication is used to treat the symptoms of too much stomach acid such as stomach upset, heartburn, and acid indigestion. It is also used to relieve symptoms of extra gas such as belching, bloating, and feelings of pressure/discomfort in the stomach/gut. Simethicone helps break up gas bubbles in the gut. Aluminum and magnesium antacids work quickly to lower the acid in the stomach. Liquid antacids usually work faster/better than tablets or capsules.This medication works only on existing acid in the stomach. It does not prevent acid production. It may be used alone or with other medications that lower acid production (e.g., H2 blockers such as cimetidine/ranitidine and proton pump inhibitors such as omeprazole).If you are self-treating with this medication, carefully read the package instructions before you start using this product to be sure it is right for you.
