Thermo mechanical processing, also known as thermo-mechanical treatment (TMT), is a metallurgical process that integrates work hardening and heat-treatment into a single process. The production of high quality TMT bar depends on three major factors - quality raw materials, a properly designed and automated mill, and a well-designed quenching and tempering technology. Due to the low carbon content, these bars exhibit high bend & re-bend ability and higher elongation with excellent yield. As these are very durable in nature, our range of TMT Bar is ideally suited for application in earthquake zones.

All bars must be purchased based on the properties of yield strength, tensile strength and elongation values.

Basically there are 3 Qualities in bars: -
CTD:-Cold Twisted Deformed Bars
TOR:-Tor 40
TMT:-Thermo-Mechanically Treated Bars
CTD & TOR-40:
CTD & TOR -40 are old forms of reinforcement bars but are now obsolete because CTD name itself suggests that it is cold twisted deformed bars. And it is twisted when it is cold, which leads to surface crack which makes the product more prone to corrosion.
TMT Bars are much easily available and is of superior quality than CTD & TOR-40.
