Specifications for Aluminum Structure:
Dead and Live Load:

Gangway deck and structural components are designed to support the dead load of the gangway plus Utilities and a Uniform Live Load of 244 Kg per square mtr. Maximum deflection under these loads shall not exceed L/180. where L is length of Gangway in mm.

Handrails:

The gangway have continuous Mantle handrails along both sides of the walking surface The top of the handrails is not less than 1040 above the walking surface. The ends are returned into the truss body or terminate with no sharp or catching edges. The handrail portion of the handrails shall not be less than 6 mm nor more than 50 mm in cross-sectional dimension, or the shape shall provide an equivalent gripping surface. The hand grip portion of the handrails have a smooth surface with no sharp corners. The mounting and components of the handrails are capable of withstanding a load of 30 Kg per linear mtr, Lateral.

Rollers and Connection To Deck:

The gangway have two solid UHMW Polyethylene rollers. Rollers, axles and skid shoes are designed to accommodate all loads to ramps. Gangway connection to the Dock shall be a Heavy duty Hinge or Hook made of Stainless steel.

Floor Decking:

Decking of the gangway is of Non Skid profile having a Raised rib with ribs no higher than 6 mm and perpendicular to the flow of traffic.
