From the time of starting our Turbine manufacturing unit in Bangalore, it has been a very successful venture and led to formation of Chola Turbo Machinery International Pvt Ltd in the year 2005. In less than two decades from the time of starting our Turbine manufacturing unit, we have rolled out a number of turbines ranging from 7.5 kW to 60 MW and are operating successfully in various industries like Steel Pulp/paper, Metals, Chemicals, Fertilizers, Sugar, Petrochemicals, Refineries etc., thus covering almost all sectors of industry. CTMI is an ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certified company. We are the only private Indian company to have supplied STG set to Nuclear Power Plant. These turbines are manufactured at our Bangalore works, which is equipped with state of the art facilities. Critical Components like turbine blades are being manufactured at our Bangalore unit maintaining high quality standards, which in turn provides reliability and stability in operation and performance. It is with great pride that we would like to announce that CTMI group has acquired Plant, Machinery, Land and Premises of Arani Power Systems Ltd. The facility located in Cheriyal, near Hyderabad, boasts state of the art machine tools for manufacturing steam turbines and Three tests beds for live steam trial testing. After this acquisition CTMI would increase its capacity of manufacturing steam turbines upto 60 MW By acquiring this facility CTMI will expand its portfolio and add steam turbines for numerous standard applications to our already existing high-end product range. At the same time CTMI shall gain access to additional manufacturing capacity to cater to our tremendous rise in orders already booked this year and would help achieve shortened deliveries for our large capacity steam turbines. This is yet another step by the CTMI management for better customer reach and ultimate customer satisfaction. The offered Steam Turbine is of proven design with high efficiency and shall give trouble free service over its long life period. Other salient features of the turbine are as follows: 1. Turbine offered is rugged Base load Steam Turbine particularly suited to the specific applications. 2. The Turbine offered is of slow speed design, which reduces the possibility of frequent rotor/blade failures. 3. Steam trials are conducted in house on all turbines before they are dispatched to the customer, ensuring highest quality and trouble free operation. Your technical experts can witness these tests. 4. Stronger bigger size Journals, superior materials of construction, more responsive and Back Pressure control system make these machines virtually maintenance free. The facility at CTMI includes heavy engineering machine tools like large base VTLs, Boring machines, Radial drilling machines, Planning machines etc apart from precision machine shop. In an extension to a manufacturing facility, CTMI boasts of CNC machining facilities comprising of various CNC machining centers which have been successfully manufacturing Rotor Blades and Nozzles for captive consumption. These 5 axis CNC machines also enable us to manufacture taper and twisted blades which are a hallmark of our turbine. We have already manufactured, supplied, erected, and commissioned many turbo-generator sets since we commenced manufacturing of these sets in the year 2003/2004 at our Bangalore works.
